Our Story
We bought Glenogue in March 2021 — fifteen acres on the Wicklow–Wexford border, farmed by the O'Tooles and then the Kinsellas, since at least 1780. The farmhouse still shows it: thick walls, low doorways, that settled look a building only gets after a couple of hundred years. We sympathetically restored the old house back to its original stone walls and lime render, while adding a modern extension.
We didn't set out to build lodges. We set out to preserve the farm — restoring hedgerows, letting fields go back to meadow, running Dexter cattle on ground that's been grazed longer than anyone can date. The lodges came after, once it was clear the farm itself was the reason to stay.
Red kites still hunt the top field most afternoons. Barn owls still work the hedges at dusk. None of it is there for you — it was here before us. We've just made room to notice it.
